Integrated degree/traineeship in Construction Management

Requirements:

  • Secondary school leaving certificate qualifying for university admission (equivalent to A Levels, ‘Abitur’ or ‘Fachhochschulreife’ or a professional qualification per Section 11 of the Berlin Universities Act (BerlHG)

The programme:

  • Degree: Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng)
  • Duration: 6 semesters
  • Starting: 1 October 2017 (winter term 2017/2018)
  • Accreditation: this programme has been accredited by the AQAS Agency for Quality Assurance and is classified as intensive, comprising 210 ECTS credits.

Project Engineer

We are currently looking for a project engineer assisting the project team in monitoring and coordinating constructing projects on time, within budget and to the quality specified. You become involved in the fields of project management, project controlling and claim management.

We require excellent computer skills including MS Office, strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work independently. A work-related internship or professional work experience would be an advantage, a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or closely related field is preferred.

You can apply your skills in organizing individual construction phases using project structures and network plans for scheduling, cost estimating and project control. You must be comfortable working in a team environment in the office, with the customer and on the construction site as well, occasional travelling within the country will be required.

In line with the work conducted by BMC AG, our Project Engineer will perform any tasks related to construction site documentation, construction site controlling and claims arising out of schedule disruptions. These tasks include:

  • analysing calculations and determining price components
  • preparing and evaluating daily construction reports, photographic records and construction progress analyses
  • preparing and modifying construction schedules and timetables
  • analysing and presenting construction workflows and schedule disruptions
